Localization

Localization (also known as L10n) is the process of adapting a product or service for a specific geography. While localization includes a translation process, it may also cover:

  • Design adaptation to correctly show the translated text in the target language
  • The change of time and date formats, addresses, figures, currencies, units of measurement, etc., for the target geography
  • Adaptation of graphics so that they are adjusted to the expectations and preferences of the target geography
  • Content modification so that it is adapted to the preferences and consumption habits of the target geography.

At Tvains, we localize products and services so that they look and feel as if they had been specifically created for a target market, regardless of language, cultural preferences, or location. We localize material for the following areas:

  • Marketing
  • e-learning
  • Websites
